Showstopper! The Improvised Musical.

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is a joy to behold. Eight cast members and an on-stage band take audience suggestions and turn them into a West End musical.

From topical ideas to the bizarre, the setting is decided, storyline is constructed, characters found, musical styles adopted and as audience members we get to watch the hilarious results unfold. The cast is extremely hardworking, lightening quick, and their voices incredible as they replicate the styles of musical works we know so well and love, whilst never dropping the ‘narrative’ ball to keep the show moving along.

It’s fascinating to watch the show being put together before our eyes not missing a beat, the comedy making you howl with laughter and us sitting there incredulous at the talent of putting this all together literally on the spot.

I want to go again. And again. And again. Because each night will be different, as each performance gleans new suggestions from its audience.

A truly brilliant piece of theatre. Do go. You’ll miss a treat if you don’t.

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is at the Apollo Theatre, London on until the end of November.
