If, like me, you have seen this mysterious word ‘Kombucha’ popping up in articles you’ve been reading and thought ‘what on earth is that? Is it a martial art? Is it this season’s scarf?’ No, to the above. Love Kumbucha is an unpasteurized soft drink that has been championed by health professionals, celebrities and models. It has been around for over 2,000 years, so clearly trusted in its field and was even once known as the ‘immortal health elixir’ due to its anecdotal health benefits.
Love Kombucha is made by fermenting sweetened green tea with a live culture of bacteria and yeast. The result is an organic, raw drink loaded with probiotics, enzymes and beneficial acids, which is very low in sugar (less than 3.0g per 100ml) and has a unique ‘tart’ taste. And is available in four flavours; Original, Blueberry, Ginger & Lime, and Ginger (I’ve tried them all and my personal fave being Blueberry);

Love Kombucha contains beneficial acids and naturally occurring nutrients that help keep us balanced. Regular drinkers have noticed improvements in inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, gout and acne, improved energy levels and reduced IBS symptoms (lactic acid increases the oxygen in the blood and helps balance pH as well as encouraging beneficial bacteria growth in the gut).
