Record a Song at Abbey Road Studios

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to an event held by Perception Sales to record a song at Abbey Road Studios here in London. Abbey Road Studios is, as you know, the iconic music venue to have been at the heart of the recording industry for 80 years.

We recorded in Studio 2 where The Beatles recorded 190 of their 210 songs, how exciting! Everyone has recorded here and you just think if only the walls could talk. Studio 1 is enormous (in face the largest purpose built studio in the world) and has hosted some of well-loved movie soundtracks including our very own Harry Potter film scores. Studio 3 can fit up to 20 people and has had legends including Pink Floyd and Oasis recording in there.

The have hosted gala dinners, live performances, product launches and award ceremonies, as well as corporate entertainment, conferences and team-building days.

The ‘Record a Song’ event I was at is ideal for team-building if you are looking for something that little bit different that is also very cool. There is a vocal coach and recording crew on hand and everyone gets to take home a finished copy of the song as a souvenir. There isn’t that many of us who can say we’ve recorded at Abbey Road Studios are there, and we are in VERY good company.

064In-house catering is tailored for every event, from a daily delegate conference through to champagne receptions and fine dining sit down dinners. They also have their own restaurant, licensed bar and a private garden.
