My Week – March 13th, 2014

Happy National open an umbrella indoors day!

My daughter has the word ‘superstition’ in her spellings from school this week, so the title of this weeks newsletter seems quite appropriate – up to you if you give it a go though, Mum used to say to me it wasn’t so much unlucky to open an umbrella indoors it was just more likely that you’d break something; wise words…

So much going on here; we’re planning a small party for the official ‘book launch’ for The Chamber of Celebrity Pa Secrets, details coming soon on how you can come along and join Team DC to celebrate too, watch this space. There was world book day last week as any parent of young children will know, and the Minx’s theme was Myths and Legends so she decided on the Loch Ness Monster, that was a challenging costume!

I went to a great event at Cheeky Parlour in Shoreditch with one of the celebrity PA Associations I’m part of. It’s a great loft space where you can get a blow-dry, manicure, pedicure, make up, drinks and food, all in all a great place for girls to go and hang out for a speedy makeover. You can even hire the space if you’re thinking of a birthday or hen party and you want to glam up with the gals whilst drinking cocktails – what could be better than that?

New York Times Square

I’m heading off to New York next week for meetings and to feed my theatre addiction that means I’m working at the speed of light before I go to make sure I’m on top of everything. Why is it as soon as you take your foot off the pedal (not literally of course) for a moment everything goes bananas? I’m hoping to add to my New York Little Black Book while I’m there so if you have any suggestions of what you’d like to hear about do drop me a line and I’ll do my best to cover it.

Now be careful when you’re opening that umbrella…
