Happy Turkey Day to all those who celebrate and to those who don’t why not use it as an excuse to practice cooking Christmas dinner?!
I’m giving thanks to shaking off the coldy flu that I seem to be surrounded by. Sometimes you just have to put *closed * up on the door which I did for two days, everyone around me seemed to be dropping with the lurgy and when it hit me I figured I should just lay low until it passed. Watch trashy TV (yes, I confess to being a bit obsessed with I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, hey, don’t judge me…), read magazines that usually sit in a huge pile replicating a two feet high wonky coffee table, put clothes away that have been sitting at the end of my bed for far too long and refilling my hot water bottle on a hourly basis/feeling sorry for me and sending out SOS texts for lemon and ginger. I don’t have time to be ill, I had QVC this week and fly to Perth, Australia at the end of the week for the Corporate PA Summit – yay I’m so excited, I’ve never been to Perth, I love the Aussie PA’s and I get to see some sunshine before the year is out, it’s a win/win!
I’m busy as ever and don’t you feel as though the year will be over in a flash, with still so much to do? I haven’t started on the Christmas stuff yet for everyone else but I have had a few treats for me… I went to the Clarks press day for SS14, and I say roll on springtime when those gorgeous Orla Keily shoes are in store:
Of all the places and services I’m fortunate enough to review for my Little Black Book i’m really happy to be able to ‘keep it local’ sometimes to Hampstead where I live. Renata Jon is fabulous salon very close to Hampstead tube station, I had nails and a blowdry there, it’s very comfortable with great décor – easy to stay all day (and I tried!) – review to follow.
And this weekend was the Christmas lights switch on in Hampstead too. Minx and I went up to dance to Bjorn Again – nothing like a high street full of people united in voice to Mamma Mia is there!
