Save the Children have launched their ‘Born to Walk Tall’ campaign with a fantastic opportunity to take part in their bid boutique and be in with the chance to win a pair of one-of-a-kind shoes designed by some well known style icons.
Those who are taking part in the auction – which include Erin O’Connor, Hayley Atwell and Helena Bonham Carter have created a unique pair of shoes that are inspired by their childhood memories and dreams and that they feel they would walk tall in.
The collection of shoes include Helena Bonham Carter’s shoes that are inspired by Dorothy’s ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz, Hayley Atwell’s To Kill a Mockingbird heels and Tamsin Egerton’s peep-toe flat shoes inspired by The Secret Garden. The beautiful shoes that can be won are made-to-order by Upper Street – a bespoke shoe designer – in your size if you’re lucky enough to beat the competition in the auction which is now live on eBay.
The money from the auction will go towards helping Save The Children train health workers to supply families in some of the world’s poorest countries with the necessary medical care to save lives. Just one health worker has the potential to help almost 5,000 children in one year alone and teach mothers how to take care of their children and keep them healthy, as well as treat a number of diseases.
The auction will run until Sunday 5th October and can be followed on Twitter using the hashtag #WalkTall.
