I’m literally just back from Kuala Lumpur, I ran a workshop and gave a keynote speech at the World of Executive PA 2013 Conference – how cool is that?? Yes it’s a long way to go but I love to seize any opportunity to meet other PA’s and share our experiences.
What an incredible city to go too, and so nice to feel the heat on my skin – a sensation almost forgotten in the UK. Some other fabulous speakers there too including Eleanor Marshall, Anel Martin and Paul Pennant – two of which I’d never met apart from via social networking and great to be able to spend time (albeit short) with all three. I also fitted in a hot stone massage that was AMAZING and I slept really well after it, the shopping was insane, you can’t not shop – I spent the majority of my time trying to work out the currency exchange with everything I looked it and am pleased to report that dinner worked out at an average of £2 each evening, now that is hard to beat!
I got invited to a fabulous night out with the Miss Jones crew to A Chorus Line at the London Palladium – one of my all time five shows, Lauren from Team DC also came along, we had a great night and how fabulous to hear the score and songs live. I also took my daughter to see ‘Tiddler’ at the theatre, one of our best loved stories that has been read at least a billion times, it was a lot of fun and adorable going to the theatre with kids who are totally vocal about everything and anything good or bad and completely unedited – fortunately this one was a hit with them!
Very excited to co-host my first PA event with OTTO UOMO in Mayfair last week, a brilliant concept and super classy store, we had a ball, and if it’s not in your Little Black book already, it really should be so I urge you to take a look.
Am now prepping for my ‘How to be a better PA’ tomorrow at HAYS in London, I’m so lucky to have amazing speakers in Lucy Brazier of Executive Secretary Magazine, Stephanie Davies of LaughoLogy, Victoria Darragh of HAYS and Beverly Hills Bakery are providing the cupcakes. I’m polishing my PowerPoint and shining up my textbooks and getting excited to inspire and motivate some amazing PA’s.
