My week – 4th December, 2012

photo I’m tired, the party season is upon us and that means at least one event a night on top of the day job and school run… I feel as though I should reach out to a multi-vitamin company to see if they would offer sponsorship…

I know I don’t have to go to EVERYTHING and believe me when I say I don’t, but if it’s an event with an organisation I don’t know very well or at a venue I haven’t been to before I want to go and meet the people organising it or just (if I’m honest) to have a nosey around… I’m always filling the blanks in my little black book as I know there’ll be that one time a client will ask ‘should I go here?’, ‘I’ve heard this place would be great for a party’, and I’ll be able to throw in my two-penneth worth and give them some background.

photo I’ve hit the ground running this week with present ideas for those tricky peeps amongst us from the lovely gals and guys at gift-library.com – taking all the stress out of ‘what to get the person who has everything’ – it’s all about delegation…! I went to the Radisson Blu Mercer Street Hotel Christmas party where they had us running from restaurant to room to suite to meeting rooms to find all the hidden reindeer, so much fun after a glass or two of prosecco and boy can those PA types be competitive (I’d be lying if I said our team didn’t try a bit of sabotage too… what’s a hidden reindeer or two between friends?). Next stop was the beautiful Burberry store on Regent Street with the lovely gang from ACA-UK, we got to stroke bags and shoes and y’know they are open until 10pm each night, now if they only had a coffee shop installed… although personal shopping are very generous with their fizz too…

photo We had a thanksgiving eat-a-thon; Christmas fair and lights switch on on our local high street and a card-making workshop (supposed to be for the children but the mum’s got WAY into it, almost like therapy in a way, and we were all very happy with our creations when we left!).  Teacher’s meetings, AGA servicing, back to Bootcamp Pilates, acupuncture at the Joshi Clinic (sleep isn’t great for me so am hoping this may do the trick before I get known as Vampire girl). And Kerastraight to stop the curl and frizz in my hair for the next few months, and I did nearly nod off during the hair wash – I just can’t get the timing right obvs…

Yesterday I had a great coaching session with a fabulous PA who just needed a bit of reminding of how fabulous she is, this is what she said afterwards ‘Can’t wait to put down on paper all what I’ve learnt and to start to put my plans in place. Thank you once again’ – I love bouncing ideas around with like-minded souls to get back on track. And now I need to deal with a chimney sweep… I guess they’re busy this time of year too!
