Back to school fashion…

The last bank holiday before Christmas is gone and the back to school feeling is in the air. I loved going to buy my new pencil case when I was younger (I’m still not sure I got the full value out of my protractor though…), and I still love that ‘new start’ feeling, I got the City Lit prospectus through and have been poring over all those fabulous evening classes but possibly it’s a bit ambitious to think I have extra time to squeeze one in it at the moment – I may just start with a set of new pens and see how I get on.

I always love the super shiny fashion magazines that drop through my letterbox at the beginning of the month (I subscribe so I don’t have to carry them home, and it’s cheaper ‘top tip’) here are some looks at the upcoming trends…

Black leather – fifty shades of grey (and black) – think feminine and seductive…

I love this sleeveless leather dress from Whistles – simple but sassy, paired with these Hobbs Jolene ankle boots, or these wolford tulle knee highs and gorgeous LK Bennett Sledge shoes

Floral – fifty shades of flowers – think edgy and luxurious…

This flared dress from Warehouse  with a hint of military with these All Saints zip boots,  layer up with this Crochet front cardigan from ASOS.

Animal prints  – fifty shades of animal – think fun with a roar!

I love this animal print cardigan from Oasis  worn with some dark denims, I always think it’s hard to go wrong with MOTO from Topshop  and these super cute buckle shoe boots from Reiss.

Have you thought about…

Wearing anything and everything from your wardrobe and a friend’s wardrobe over the next week and if anyone questions you tell them ‘it’s London Fashion Week daaarling’.

Keeping the sporting theme going and start ice skating lessons so that come December you won’t be stumbling onto the rink, you’ll be gliding…

Going to a department store and to find a foundation to suit your autumn/winter skintone (whilst you’re there why not try out a new fragrance to see you through to the end of the year?)
