Autumn leaves are brown…

Who knew it was Autumn already? (and yes I know it’s not official until September 22nd…) but I’ve been back at QVC and into knitwear with not a conker yet hitting the ground, but hey, there’s nothing wrong with a bit of fashion forward thinking…

They call it ‘transition’ I call it – I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO WEAR!

Although I do love the ‘back to school feeling’ but changing seasons is always a bit tricky in the fashion stakes, you want to hold on to your tan and summer holiday memories as long as possible but as the temperature starts to drop you know it’s time to dip your toe in the season to come.

Here a few ideas to ease you gently into Autumn…

‘Back to school’ work look:

A great blazer like this one from Zara would serve you well with one of your summer dresses or this dress from Ted Baker. Paired with these Mango suede platform boots,
finish with a gorgeous ASOS black satchel

For a fun lunch look:

Why not try the floral trend with this spot on velvet collar blouse from Topshop, worn with these French Connection Galaxy Crepe Hot Pants, some opaque tights and cute LK Bennett Mary Janes .

Weekends are for relaxing, so how about:

Coloured jeggings from Oasis, a gorgeously luxurious Zadig & Voltaire cashmere sweater, throw a white company scarf around your neck and pull on some shiny Hobbs brogues

Have you thought about…?

Wearing gold shoes every day until 9th September to send out ‘medal vibes’ to our Paralympic team?

Getting your winter coats dry-cleaned and boots re-heeled so they feel new again when it’s time to start wearing them?

Challenging yourself by wearing something different every day from the back of your wardrobe that you forgot you had – a thrifty way of having a ‘new’ wardrobe.
