I passionately believe that our face reflects how we feel within ourselves.  When under stress, we tend to hold tension in our facial muscles and bodies. It is my intention to help you relax physically, mentally, and emotionally by offering the following tips.Go organic
I recommend using Organic skincare products, as our skin absorbs 60% of what is applied into the blood stream. I use Eminence Organics because their products are cold pressed, made in small batches, and therefore ensure freshness. Ingredients found in Eminence include Rosehip, Paprika, Almond, Coconut and even Nettle in order to digest dead skin, oxygenate the cells, and supply fresh vitamins and minerals to the skin.Exfoliate
Exfoliation is just as crucial as moisturizing! One of the factors greatly affecting our skin is cellular turnover, which naturally slows down around 25 years of age. A good exfoliating product increases your skin’s healing ability and triggers faster cell-renewal. Using a micro-massage Clarisonic Brush can also loosen and remove excess dirt from pores, preparing your skin to readily absorb nutrients.

Face massage
A terrific facial massage stimulates reflexology points in the face to assist balance and healing within the body. This restores skin to its natural vibrancy! I use a unique blend of deep lifting movements to tone jowls and facial contours combined with lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness.  To further release tension I massage volcanic stones over the neck and face – the heat from the stones deeply soothes the muscle fibres.

Nourish and protect
At the end of every treatment I apply an organic serum, nourishing moisturizer, and a layer of protective SPF to the skin.  Organic serums are particularly important because they are made with smaller particles, designed to penetrate the dermis (the second layer of the skin) effecting elasticity and hydration.  After your facial treatment you can expect your skin to look and feel truly rejuvenated and to leave with overall mind and body restoration.

Quick-fix home facial…

  1. Start by cleansing and exfoliating your face.  Eminence Pear & Poppy Seed Micorderm Polisher (£31) is one of my favourites.  Your skin texture will feel smooth and the exfoliation will assist cell-turnover.
  2. Feed your skin with a super-food organic mask.  A wonderful product to try is Eminence Eight Greens Phyto Mask (£37). Allow it to absorb for ten minutes and then remove it with cool water.  A good mask will be packed with ingredients to ‘treat’ your concerns.
  3. Apply a facial oil, such a coconut or rosehip oil, to your neck and face. Stimulate the skin by massaging upwards with your finger-tips, starting at the neck working upwards to the jaw-line and face. Massage assists circulation, thus toning the facial muscles
